Melanie DeMattei, DO

Bio

A native of Spartanburg, South Carolina, Melanie DeMattei, DO, graduated from the University of South Carolina in Columbia with an undergraduate degree in biological sciences and earned a master’s degree in biomedical sciences from the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston. She went on to achieve a Doctor of Osteopathy at the West Virginia School of Osteopathic Medicine in Lewisburg.

Dr. DeMattei completed her internal medicine residency at Doctors Hospital in Columbus, Ohio. During her residency, she worked alongside the hospital’s internal medicine program director and department chiefs as chief resident to coordinate, organize and educate internal medicine residents. A member of the American College of Osteopathic Internists, the American Osteopathic Association and the American College of Physicians, Dr. DeMattei has worked as a hospitalist at Doctors Hospital and Margaret R. Pardee Memorial Hospital in Hendersonville, North Carolina. She is board certified in internal medicine and has additional certifications in basic and advanced cardiac life support.
